HUME-MAP.png

Melbourne’s north is one of Victoria’s fastest-growing regions, now home to over 1 million people and projected to reach nearly 1.5 million by 2036.

The region accounts for more than 20 per cent of Melbourne’s population and continues to expand across established suburbs and the Northern Growth Corridor.

It is a diverse and youthful community, with a significant proportion of residents born overseas or speaking a second language, and a large working-age population contributing to a strong and growing economy.

Melbourne’s north generates around $40 billion in goods and services each year, highlighting its importance to the broader Victorian economy.
