Beveridge Intermodal Freight Precinct
On 22 June, the National Intermodal Corporation announced it had completed the purchase of 1,100 hectares of land at Beveridge for construction of the Beveridge Intermodal Freight Precinct.

Supported as the priority intermodal freight terminal in Melbourne by the Australian Government’s recent review into the Inland Rail Project, this terminal will begin operation with an intermediate terminal in 2025.
Ultimately, the terminal will have a capacity in excess of 500,000 TEU and will connect Melbourne to Brisbane, Sydney, and Perth.
The terminal will bring over 6,800 direct jobs and will help support a broader industrial and commercial precinct that could employ around 20,000 people.

Congratulations to our Member Councils of Mitchell Shire Council, City of Whittlesea and Hume City Council for their advocacy.
