7 July: Meeting with the Hon. Colin Brooks MP
The NCA was pleased to meet with the Minister for Housing, and Member for Bundoora, the Hon Colin Brooks MP.
​
One of our region's local members, the Minister is familiar with the North and is actively engaged with many of our member Councils on issues of regional importance. An informative and constructive discussed took place, with focus on housing affordability, particularly supporting key workers.
​
The NCA thanks the Minister for his engagement and looks forward to ongoing discussions.

4 July: Meeting with the Hon. Melissa Horne
The NCA was pleased to meet with Minister for Local Government, the Hon Melissa Horne MP.
A great discussion followed, highlighting the importance of regional collaboration by Councils, as well as the need for strong and ongoing engagement between all levels of government on issues affecting our region and local government in general.

The Minister was presented with the NCA's documents and strategies. We thank the Minister for meeting with the NCA and look forward to an ongoing and productive relationship with the State Government

4 May: Meeting with the Hon. Jacinta Allan
The NCA was pleased have had the opportunity to meet with the Deputy Premier, the Hon. Jacinta Allan MP at Parliament House to present the NCA's priorties for transport, infrastructure and future planning.

The NCA Mayors presented the Deputy Premier with the NCA's advocacy documents, including the Northern Region Transport Strategy and Bus Networking Study.
The NCA was pleased to be part of a productive discussion, and to hear the Deputy Premier's response to the NCA's work. The NCA thanks the Deputy Premier for making the time during a Parliamentary sitting day.
The NCA looks forward to continuing discussions, and working together to support our region's prosperity

30 March: Meeting with the Victorian Opposition
The NCA were pleased to welcome members of the State Opposition including Leader, Mr John Pesutto and Member for Northern Metropolitan Region, Mr Evan Mulholland and Member for North Eastern Metropolitan Region Mr Nick McGowan to our March meeting.
A great discussion followed, highlighting amongst many things, the need for transport infrastructure and job creation which is needed to support our growing region; projected to be home to over 1.6 million people by 2041. We thank the Opposition Members for their engagement.
The NCA is committed to working collaboratively to support our communities.
