NCA Snapshot

Edition 5:  April 2024

NCA in the news

In early March, the NCA and our activities were featured in a worldwide Local Government Information Unit (LGIU) members briefing. Later in the month, Channel 7 visited our region to discuss the challenges we are facing.

LGIU article

The LGIU is a not-for-profit membership organisation that supports local governments across the world. Established in England 40 years ago, it provides research, resources and training on issues of relevance and interest to local government.

The 4 March briefing paper, published online and emailed to members, looks to the NCA as an example of what can be achieved when local governments commit to ongoing collaboration to benefit their entire region, and explores the key features that have underpinned our success to date.

You can view the NCA article here.

Our work on transition to electric vehicles has also attracted the attention of the LGIU and a second article was just published.  You can read more here.
