Welcome from the Chair

As Melbourne’s north continues to grow, ensuring our communities remain connected to jobs, education, healthcare and each other has never been more important.

We are so pleased that our efforts last year resulted in more than 150 residents sharing their experiences of transport and infrastructure challenges across the region. Their stories highlighted the impact that congestion, long commutes and limited transport options are having on everyday life, reducing family time and limiting access to work and essential services.

These insights are invaluable. By sharing residents' experiences, we aim to ensure the transport and infrastructure needs of Melbourne's north remain on the agenda for the upcoming state election.

Advocacy for these projects remains a key priority, and I am pleased to report that the NCA, comprising the Mayors and CEOs of each member Council, continues to meet regularly to plan for the challenges and opportunities facing our region. These meetings provide an important forum for collaboration and a united voice on the issues that matter most to our communities.

I look forward to continuing this work in the leadup to the state election, as we strengthen our advocacy efforts and push for the investment needed to support one of Victoria's fastest-growing regions.
