Governance

Mayors and CEOs of the seven Councils are signatories to a Memorandum of Understanding, adopting a Charter which outlines the role of the NCA.

To inform and oversee the work of the NCA, two separate formal forums are held - the NCA and the NCA CEOs

The NCA

  • comprises one appointed Councillor representative and CEO from each member Council

  • aims to work as a collective to advocate for agreed regional priorities.

  • provides strategic direction and oversight of the work of the NCA and supports and oversees issues relating to regional importance.

  • as a whole meets quarterly.

The NCA CEOs

  • comprises the CEO of each member Council.

  • meet monthly and oversee and evaluate the work of the NCA and oversee the delivery of agreed projects.

Both the NCA and the NCA CEO Group are supported by the Executive Officer.

The Chair

Councillor Lina Messina, Mayor City of Darebin.

The City of Darebin is the current host of the NCA.
